Så räknar kalkylen

Total kostnad = inköp + frakt och installation + antal år × (kWh per driftdygn × driftdygn per år × elpris + filter + service + vatten och övrig skötsel per år) − restvärde.

Antal dopp = dopp per vecka × 52 × antal år. Kostnad per dopp = total kostnad / antal dopp. Kalkylen använder konstanta priser och användning. Finansiering, prisökningar och oväntade reparationer ingår bara om du lägger till dem i kostnadsfälten.

En eventuell jämförelse använder samma antal besök och visar enbart kostnader. Elförbrukning beror bland annat på modell, klimat, placering, temperatur och användning.
